Great News! NextGenUs Symmetric Superfast Broadband Is In Cumbria. Call 01228 453023 To Book Your Installation Now.

The wait is over! For a small install fee of £149.95 and monthly fee starting from £19.95 you can enjoy 10-60Mbps broadband (on the Superfast service) delivering much much more than most legacy ADSL package’s ever hope to achieve. All without the need for a landline.

Rural Cumbria typically gets very poor legacy copper ADSL speeds currently, according to Ofcom’s UK Fixed Broadband Map the area gets on average 6.1Mbps with 21.2% of the population receiving less than 2Mbps. In reality most users around rural Cumbria are getting less, much less than 1Mbps!

See how the NextGenUs Fi:Wi system works and why its much, much better than legacy copper ADSL.

Warning. Superfast Broadband Inside

The NextGenUs Fi:Wi service is from 10 to 60Mbps rather than “upto 8Mbps” which is what most ADSL services promise and sadly never achieve! In fact our download and upload speeds are hundreds of times faster than legacy copper ADSL will ever achieve.

Mini FAQ

What’s superfast internet?

Speeds greater than 20Mbps, but NextGenUs will deliver a guaranteed minimum of 10Mbps and speeds could go as high as 100Mbps.

What’s synchronous internet?

The same speed for upload as well as download and NextGenUs only provide synchronous internet.

Is a BT line required?

No, the new network will be based on “4G” wireless technology and has nothing to do with the legacy copper telephone system.

Is there a minimum contract period

Yes, due to the investment in infrastructure we ask for a minimum customer commitment of 24 months after which it is a 30 rolling contract.

What about telephone calls?

A VoIP (“Voice over IP” or “telephone calls over the internet”) number is available from VoIP suppliers including Vonage, Sipgate, Connexin and many others. If you chose to move your voice calls to VoIP your old BT telephone line is made redundant and you can save money by cancelling your BT account if you wish. The major advantage of VoIP is no landline rental costs and call charges are much lower. As with all services that are dependent on an internet connection if your internet connection is disrupted so is your other services so please bear this in mind when considering VoIP as a replacement for telephone calls.

Is equipment included?

Yes, the install cost includes an entry level WiFi “n” router. If you wish to upgrade you can chose a Ubiquiti Air Router for an additional £30.00

Will it work?

Yes, and the installation engineer will prove that it works with your computer and that the service will deliver the advertised speeds before any contract is signed and payment made.

How much will I need to pay the engineer on the day of installation?

Once you’re happy with the installation and have seen the speeds you now enjoy you’ll need to pay the engineer for the installation, the 1st months subscription and, if you are buying a router from us the cost of the router. The engineer will give you 2 forms to complete and once payed will provide you with a receipt.

So can I finally watch BBC IPlayer in high definition?

Yes, superfast internet access opens up a whole range of services that would be impossible or difficult to access via the existing legacy copper ADSL services.

Are there other benefits to myself and the community?

Yes, as a Community Interest Company NextGenUs will reinvest future profits in the community.
